The world-class titanium material manufacturing base will be born in the east of titanium valley

The staff of the new material Enterprise Federation came to the east area of titanium Valley in Meixian, where nearly 40 titanium enterprises are busy. In particular, the production tasks of smelting enterprises are particularly full in the past two years. Each smelting furnace is contracted and used by different users. Sponge titanium is piled up in the workshop, and the equipment is fully loaded 24 hours, working day and night. This year, the equipment level of smelting industry in the east area of titanium Valley, Meixian, Baoji is also growing rapidly. 

According to the observation of new enterprise alliance in the park, the main body of two double station 15t vacuum consumable arc smelting furnaces has been installed, and it is expected to start trial production this month. In this way, there are 3 sets of 15t double station vacuum consumable arc melting furnaces, 2 sets of 10t furnaces and 8 sets of 3T furnaces in the east of titanium valley. A world-class titanium material manufacturing base is initially presented here.

In recent 10 years, with the rapid development of China's national economy, the titanium consumption of China's titanium processing materials in various main application fields has shown an obvious growth trend. Especially after 2016, the demand of China's titanium processing materials in aerospace, shipbuilding, chemical industry, electric power and other industries has increased rapidly. Large chemical equipment, marine equipment and ship manufacturing put forward higher requirements for titanium and titanium alloy materials. Titanium and titanium alloy ingots are also developing to large specifications. For example, 20 tons of pure titanium ingots and 10 tons of titanium alloy ingots abroad have become the main production force. China's private titanium enterprises are trying to catch up in this direction.

There are five titanium and titanium alloy ingot production enterprises in the east area of titanium Valley, Meixian, Baoji. From 3t to 15t vacuum consumable arc melting furnace to large EB furnace production in the future, the industrial chain has been gradually improved and formed. It will also become the largest smelting production base of Baoji Private titanium enterprises. It is estimated that the titanium smelting capacity will exceed 15000 tons in 2021 and 20000 tons in 2022. A world-class titanium material manufacturing base will be born here.
